Smart View

To create a Smart View component
  1. From the Component bar, select Smart View. The smart view component is automatically added to the board and the component configuration is now enabled in the configuration panel.
  2. From the component configuration, select the Data source you want to use for smart view visualization. New properties are now available.
  3. Customize smart view properties.
  4. (Optional) To visualize or to use the component, click to turn Design mode off.

Customize Smart View

While using the component configuration, the following options are available:

  • Data source
    The data source assigned to the component.

  • Dimensions
    The available dimensions to select for visualization.

  • Measures
    The available measures to select for visualization.

  • Layout
    The arrangement options for the data.
    • Layout: select from the list one of the options to display the card collection.
    • Card layout: select from the list one of the options to place the measures summary within the card.
    • Chart layout: select from the list one of the options to display the charts within the card.
    • Number columns/rows: enter the number of columns/rows to display the card collection.
    • Chart height: set the height for the charts in pixels.
  • Selection mode
    The card collection selection options.
    • None: click to disable selection option.
    • Single: click to enable users to select one data point at a time.
    • Multiple: click to enable users to select multiple data points at once.
  • Chart type
    The graphical representation of the data.
    Select form a variety of graph types to present your data in a meaningful way.

  • Chart options
    The chart handling options.
    • Rotated: enable it to swap x-axis with y-axis.
    • Crosshair: enable it to better target a data point.
    • Border: enable it to display the border of the chart.
    • Grid: enable it to display grid lines for the chart.
    • Multi selection: enable it so that multiple data points can be selected at once.
  • Options
    The card handling options.
    • Grouping mode: select whether to display by dimensions or by measures in chart form.
    • Show measures: enable it to display the measures summary within the card.
    • Show count items: enable it to display the total number of cards on the component header bar.
    • Show action bar: enable it to display grouping options on the component header bar.
    • Disable RT diff: disable real-time update blink.; RT diff display is only supported in tables.
    • Fixed scale: enable it to have the same minimum and maximum values on the y-axis of the charts, for example to facilitate the comparison of the charts in two cards.
    • Local order by: enable it to allow users to quickly order cards by measures/dimensions using (icon) displayed on the component header bar.
  • Legend
    The legend of the chart.
    • Visible: enable it to display the legend of the chart, then select where to place it.
  • Filters
    The chart filtering options.
    • Local filter: enable it to allow users to filter data, using (icon) displayed on the component header bar.
    • Clear filter: select it to clear all filter options.
