Chart

To create a Chart component

1. From the Component bar, select Chart. The chart component is automatically added to the board and the component configuration is now enabled in the configuration panel.
2. From the component configuration, select the Data source you want to use for chart visualization. New card properties are now available.
3. Customize chart properties.
4. (Optional) To visualize or to use the component, click to turn Design mode off.

Customize Chart

While using the component configuration, the following options are available:

• Data source
  The data source assigned to the component.

• Horizontal axis
  The available dimensions to populate category information in the horizontal axis.

• Vertical axis
  The available measures to populate numerical data in the vertical axis.

• Series
  The available dimensions to plot on the chart.

• Chart type
  The data graphical representation. Select form a variety of chart types to present your data in a meaningful way.

• Advanced features
  The features available only for the vertical axis, populated with measures. Select to customize the way the axis and chart type are displayed.

• Options
  The chart handling options.
  • Drill down: enable it to allow users to drill down through chart data. This option display is also determined by the selections made in the Horizontal axis. In the Horizontal axis, drag and drop the selected dimensions in a meaningful order to create a data hierarchy, from the broadest (first dimension) to the most specific level (last dimension), so that the drill down can follow a logical sequence.
    
  • Single series selection: enable it to allow users to select one series at a time.
  • Mandatory selection: enable it so at least one series is always selected.
  • Multi selection: enable it so that multiple series can be selected at once.
  • Local order by: enable it to allow users to quickly order data by dimensions using displayed on the component header bar.
• Appearance
  The chart appearance options.
  • Title: select to display the chart title. You can customize its alignment both horizontally and vertically.
  • Legend: select to display the chart legend. You can customize its alignment both horizontally and vertically.
  • Labels: select one of the options to display data labels or not.
  • Options: select one or more options for chart display: grid lines, border lines, crosshair and/or rotate chart.
    
  • Dimension axis title: enable it to display the dimension axis title (in the horizontal axis).
  • Rotate labels: enable it to optimize the labels display on the horizontal axis, when axis labels are too long.
• Filters
  The chart filtering options.
  • Local filter: enable it to allow users to filter data, using displayed on the component header bar.
  • Clear filter: select to clear all filter options.
