Configure Cubes
To configure a cube
- On the Data source editor, select Cubes. The Cubes page opens and the list of cubes that you created is displayed.
- Click a cube line from the list to configure the selected cube. The cube configuration page opens, displaying the operations available and the cube columns.
- Select an operation to perform on the cube.
To apply a default order to your data stored in a cube
This is valid only for
string
columns.
- On the cube configuration page for your cube, select a
string
column. - Click Define order. The list of the unique
string
values stored in the column is displayed. - You have several options to change the order of the values:
- Use the buttons at the top of the list to sort the values alphabetically as follows:
Sort ASC
- in ascending order.Sort DESC
- in descending order.Reset order
- in default order.
- Drag-and-drop a value to a custom position in the list.
- Use the buttons corresponding to each value as follows:
- - Move the value at the beginning of the list.
- - Move the value one position up in the list.
- - Move the value one position down in the list.
- - Move the value at the end of the list.
- Use the buttons at the top of the list to sort the values alphabetically as follows:
- Additionally, click to remove the selected value from the custom ordering list. In this case, you apply the ordering to the remaining values. The values that you removed from the list are not removed from the reports and diagrams. Instead, they are listed at the top or at the bottom of the ordered subset, according to your option in the Add other values select list.
