Boards

Workspace content is composed of boards. Create boards by specifying the necessary properties.

Name – used for an easier identification in:

  • the top board navigation, when you want to move from one board to another.
  • the board configuration list, when you want to manage your boards.

Layout Mode – used to determine the position and size of components. You can create boards with the following layout modes:

  • Default mode. In this layout mode:
    • pre-designed layouts are available.
If you select a pre-designed layout, the board is created accordingly and you can click the frames to add components.
If you don’t select a pre-designed layout, you can draw the frames manually, using the gridlines.
    • frames overlap.
    • the number of frames are limited to the current design area dimension, scrolling content not being supported.
    • gridlines are enabled.
  • Smart mode. In this layout mode:
    • pre-designed layouts are not available.
    • frames do not overlap and are automatically arranged on the board once you click a component in the component bar.
    • the design area expands once you add a component that normally does not fit on the design area, enabling you to scroll the board content up or down.
    • gridlines are disabled.
